What to Expect…
If this is your first visit with us, here's a glimpse of what you can anticipate during your massage session:
-
Intake (5-10 minutes): We'll begin by discussing your current health, medical history, and the specific results you're hoping to achieve from your massage.
-
Assessment: Your therapist may conduct range of motion tests and work with you to understand the origin of any pain or discomfort you're experiencing

**If you experience any pain, discomfort, or too much pressure PLEASE do not hesitate in letting your therapist know**

Before your massage begins, you will….
-
You will undress to your level of comfort, as discussed during your intake (typically to your undergarments).
-
You'll have the opportunity to choose the music for your session from our selection (nature sounds, jazz, classical, and more).
-
You will be guided to lie down comfortably on the massage table and will be draped with a top sheet for warmth and privacy.

During your session…

-
For optimal technique application, massage cream will be used. Please let your therapist know during the intake if you have any preferences.

- Throughout your session, only the area of your body being worked on will be undraped. All other areas will remain covered by a sheet or blanket at all times.

-
To enhance the therapeutic benefits of your massage, your therapist may encourage deep breathing exercises. You might also be guided to breathe more deeply or hold your breath briefly during specific techniques.

Your Comfort is Paramount: Please do not hesitate to inform your therapist immediately if you experience any pain, discomfort, or if the pressure feels too intense at any point during your massage.

When your session is completed…
-
Please take your time sitting up after your massage. If you need any assistance getting off the table, please let your therapist know.

-
You may get dressed at your own pace. We encourage you to drink plenty of water, as this will help your body flush out any toxins released from your muscles during your treatment.

-
To evaluate the effectiveness of your session and plan for future treatments, your therapist may perform brief follow-up assessment testing.
